Counselors, Coaches, & Communities who get it.

Ministry is a different animal altogether, and you need people who understand.

Why Counseling

Counseling, like car maintenance and repairs, can help those in ministry stay in ministry. And without regular care, be prepared for a major breakdown that will cost time, money, and major frustration.

Counting the Cost

While seeking counseling support is one of the top things you can do for healing and to keep healthy, it can be costly with a national average of $125-$150/session. However, many counselors offer discounts for ministry leaders and we have a few others ideas on how to cover the cost.

  • Call your health insurance company. Many companies are now outsourcing mental health support at no cost to the insured or will cover sessions with only a co-pay.

  • Check for an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) with you or your spouse’s workplace. These tend to offer a set number of counseling sessions for free.

  • Talk to your organization about covering the cost for you or adding this annual benefit for all ministry staff.

  • Contact your denomination as many times they may have options for this already.
